5 advantages to have a 9 to 5 job vs 5 advantages to have a modern self-sufficient lifestyle

Create the lifestyle you want for you

In school, growing up, the system teaches us the rules of society.  We need to behave in a certain way, obey the rules, grow up, get a job and work our lives away. Often times in something that we don't like or are not passionate about, just to pay our existence in this mechanical lifestyle. After we retire and when we don't have much strength, we are supposed to enjoy life.
And it is fine if you are happy with that, and I have to say that most people are. But if you are not, or you are unsure of what you want. Below you will find  5 reasons to have a 9 to 5 job vs 5 reasons to have a modern self-sufficient lifestyle.

5 reasons to have a 9 to 5 job

It is completely fine to have a 9 to 5 job if it makes you happy...
It is completely fine to have a 9 to 5 job
 if it makes you happy...

  • Steady paycheck  -  The first reason has to be the paycheck. When you work for someone or for a corporation, you know how much you get at the end of the month or week. With this, you know what you can afford or what you can not.
  • Hours of work  - You can plan your life around your working schedule. In general, you know what time are you starting a what time you will be finishing.
  • Holidays  -  As an employee, you have the right to holidays. knowing how many days you have per year, you can book them in advance. You can know where you can afford to go and to spend.
  • Career  - This is the dream for many people. Build a career and get to the top. If this is for you and if you can make it all the way to the top, well done you. This is not easy and most people will never get there. You need to be aware of the competition that is fearless and ruthless.
  • Responsibility - This is the main reason for people to work for someone else. Most people just want to go to work and to know when and how much they will get paid. Not having responsibilities knowing what is expected of you. All this is completely fine if it makes you happy.

5 reasons to have a modern self-sufficient lifestyle

work from anywhere is probably one of the best things about being self-sufficient....

  • Freedom - Being able to work from anywhere is probably one of the best things about being self-sufficient. Travel, no time to start or finish your day and organise your workload around your family commitments, are excellent allies when it comes to choosing this lifestyle.
  • Work on your passion - When it comes to a career, nothing is worse than being stuck in a dead end job. Knowing there's nowhere to progress in your career can be depressing and frustrating.  If you are passionate enough about something, you always find a way to go the extra mile.
  • Be your own boss - Working as an employee most often than not, you will be undervalued. Your employer knows the lack of job alternatives and will probably undervalue your potential. One day you realise that you have nothing else to learn.  At some point in life, everyone wants to be their own boss. Being able to make your own decisions and move towards your dreams.
  • The big dream can be a reality - In most cases, if you work for someone else, you will never conquer your dreams. If you are truly passionate about something, you will have the urge to learn as much as you can. The desire to present it to the world and make it big. You will strive every day every hour that you can, to earn your place.
  • Create your legacy -  A legacy is built when you are truly passionate about what you create. When people start to look at you for motivation, you know you are doing something good.

Have a look at Anita Roddick,  she quoted "If you think you're too small to have an impact, try going to bed with a mosquito."  or  Albert Einstein who quoted "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new."  How many examples do you want?  How many do you need to read about?  You can be the next one, that people will read about to get inspiration!
